I made a baaag :)

One day my Mum said she was going to throw out this old plain bag, and for some strange reason I decided to keep it and sow about 100 buttons on it! Took me a loooong time, but I like the result :)

I'm drinking tea.

So where I am (Devon, England) it is literally FREEZING cold! I have double layered fluffy socks on, my pj's, dressing gown and all, and i'm still cold! So what better to do than have a cup of tea?
As I was making the tea I strangely wondered the history of tea, so here you go!
There are various legends surrounding the origins of tea. Perhaps the most famous is the Chinese story of Shen Nung, the emperor and renowned herbalist, who was boiling his drinking water when leaves from a nearby tea shrub blew into the cauldron. He tasted the resulting brew, and the beverage of tea was born.

I met a writer.

In school today a writer called Jodie Lee (male) came to our school, you may not of heard of him -yet!
But he was very insightful into the world of script writing, books and novels. A novel has to be more than 60,000 words, otherwise it is a book, well I never knew that!

He does have a website where he runs short story and poem competitions, so when I find it I'll be sure to post it for anyone who asks or comments! So please do if you would like any more info :)

I'm surrounded by piles of homework, so I best go! Sorry byeee!

Only 2 pieces of homework.

We have a new headmistress, well she's actually been at our school for about a year now. She has set a new homework 'schedule' where we are supposed to be getting 3 pieces of homework a day; we've been at school for almost a week now, and how much homework? Only two! But hey, who's complaining? Not me!

I have my Prefect interview coming up in a week and surprisingly I'm not actually that nervous! I'm aiming for head girl, but I'd still be happy with the title of Prefect. My Mum was a Prefect and my sister - one year older - is a Prefect, so I have to live up to that!
Anybody else aiming for Prefect or has been a Prefect?! Let me know in a comment :-)

Hope everyone is alright,

Just me again

So sorry I didn't blog yesterday, I am currently in year 10 (my GCSE years), which means I need to revise a lot more than I used to and do a lot more homework, etc. So I won't be able to update my blog as much as I'd like to.
Hope everyone understand, really sorry. I should still be able to blog every other day or so though.

Sorry,
Happy blogging,
Laureeen
